You can bring your local phone number to c2a for a once off fee of $42.50 then a monthly fee of $9.95 VoIP service availability charge, this will save you a fortune on line rental charges and is available over the c2a wireless network. What is phone number portability?

Phone number portability allows you to take your local landline phone number and move it to any provider of your choice (other than the large providers like Optus™ and Telstra™)
Phone number portability is similar to porting your mobile phone number between mobile phone carriers of your choice
